The Significant Country

The Significant Country

The United States is really large and it has a lot of beautiful places and cultures in each region. I had been to some places in the USA and I have seen some beautiful places by now. However, it was the first time that I could feel the size of the world from the bottom of my heart.

First, I felt differences of atmosphere between Spokane and the South West because of some reasons. One of the reasons was the specific buildings called adobe were there. I thought the shape of building was so pretty. Moreover I was impressed with the history. The Native American people are passing a story down from generation to generation. In my opinion, it was not so easy. The people could hand down to posterity records describing living as Native American there because of their wishes.

Secondly, I learned about differences of foods. I could eat a lot of spicy food in the South West and there are some different food from other regions. For example, I ate the Navajo stew and the Pueblo burger in Santa Fe. I had never eaten those food before now but I felt a good impression.

Finally, I thought the climate, the ground, the plants, the animals and the people were all different to Spokane. At the Acoma Pueblo, one woman talked to us very kind and friendly. She said her daughter looked like us and she showed us her daughter's pictures. They were really gentle for us. I felt mystery so I researched about the Native American and the Japanese relationship. Then I learned the Native American and the Ainu race who lives in Hokkaido have some same cultures and race. Moreover they are exchanging their cultures, opinion and traditional things now. I was interested in this fact.
I hope they will be able to be passing a story down from generation to generation from now on.

Colorful Place

I am at the Grand Canyon

There is blue sky

I was always with clear air

If I sit down, I can feel brow warm

No voice, no music, but we can feel beautiful color

There are a bucketful of colors

We are wrapped up in the colors
