Our Welcome Celebration

The Welcome Banquet was a wonderful and friendly event. The staff of MFWI were introduced. Teachers talked about their names and where they have been abroad. I was surprised they have been to many countries. It sounded very nice and I thought it is a part of American culture. I envy this culture because going abroad, I can have a broad outlook on life. I want to talk with them about how they felt and where was the best for them.

RAs also talked about their names and their groups. There were new RAs and old RAs. My RA is Megan and when she said, " G15 will...." our group said "succeed!!!" in a loud voice. I hope we can do it!

The special day had tasty foods. I was able to share delicious food with MFWI staff and their family and my RA. I was happy to eat and talk with people who were seated at the same table. I also took a lot of pictures with them. This became one of my special photos of MFWI.

At the end of the program, students sang by turns to MFWI staff. Extension students were the last group, and JC and Education songs were beautiful, so I was very nervous. When I began to play the piano, everyone started to dance, so I was surprised and was able to enjoy playing the piano.

This event made us more intimate. I want to try to talk a lot this semester and get along with the people whom I met in MFWI more.
