Welcome Banquet
It has been almost two weeks since I came back here. I am very happy to come back to my second hometown,Spokane and meet teachers,RAs,and my host family again. The Welcome Banquet was held on September 17th. This is my second time. This Welcome Banquet made me more enthusiastic than the regular program.
First of all, some teachers made speeches for us. Ms.Marie warmly welcomed us to MFWI and encouraged us. Every teachers' speech really impressed me. I thought I should do my best more than the regular program.
Next,I had a wonderful dinner. It was better than regular Commons food, so I ate too much!!!I really enjoyed dinner with my group members,Kelley,Mark and Ruth. Mark and Ruth are my host family in Spokane. I was so happy to see them again and have dinner together. I had a marvelous time with them.We talked a lot about classes,my dormitory life and my summer vacation.I will visit their house on Thanksgiving with my room mate,Mami. I look forward to visiting.
Finally,JC,Education,and Extension students had speeches and sung the song respectively.I was surprised at their speeches.They were very fabulous and good English.I respect them,because they have courage.I think they are strong.Lastly,we sang "MAMMA MIA"cheerfully.I really enjoyed singing and wished to do my best this semester.Extension students always have their own will.I think it is important to improve my skill. I would like to keep having my will.
I had a valuable time at the Welcome Banquet. I think I would like to learn many things like more skillful English or American culture during this semester. I can do it!!!Seize the day!!!
